I am planning to install a 1500 W Inverter instead of the factory fitted Little 350 W one.
I want to install a separate 220 V plug in the pantry/forecabin. Does anybody have a plan for the cable ducts ? I Need to rout the 220 V cable from the battery compartment over to the other side. Thx in advance for your help!

Hi Frank
In my 400 there is a cable duct from the battery-charger to a grounding-plate under the pantry, but the brave workmen at Hanse Werft have made sharp bends in the ducts, so I had to place a new one instead. (And new ones to the stern of the ship also). I did use a search-spring to help the cables through the ducts. Do remember, that it is not allowed to work with high-voltage 230V for a layman. If you do the job yourself, remember to fasten the cable every 15 cm, and mount rubber-eyes where the cable may be damaged. Do use a solid cable of at least 1.5 mm2, with ground-wire. |
