After I bought my boat, I found this under the chart table.  Its a B&G Remote Vision.  But, I don't think it belongs with the boat.  I cannot figure out how to connect it.

I think it would be a very cool tool.   Here's a link:

It says it is for B&G H2000 systems......I have Zeus II....are these different systems?

Thoughts?

Rob,  this is from the electronics stone age ( 2002).  I am pretty sure that a yard employee accidentally left it on your boat and the beneficial owner would be happy if he could get it back.
For today's NMEA 2000 based bus systems it is of no use.

Hi,
I am taking an interest in this stone-aged piece of equipment. Could you please advise if it`s still available?
Regards
H.

I've not heard 2004 called "the electronics stone age" of sailing before :-)

As someone who got his Coast Guard certification with dead reckoning (otherwise known as "by guess and by golly navigation") and RDF,  and had to use "height of tide at any time" and currents from a book,   we took amazing leaps forward with LORAN,  the GPS satellite network, and finally cockpit radar.  Its amazing how much safer sailing is today as a result.

I can't consider this device exactly neanderthal.    I agree its probably useless today,  but such is the speed of marine electronics.    5 years and its obsolete.
