Is it possible to empty the waste from the waste tank into the water, or is it only possible to empty it with a suction pump on land through the waste outlet on deck?
I see there is a pump above the waste tank, but I do not understand how to make it work, as I see no logical connections from the toilet and to the waste tank. I am also unsure which valves to open/close for such an operation.

Any suggestions would be welcomed!

The standard Hanse configuration:

The biggest valve should be for the toilet. If it is closed the waste water goes into the waste tank. If you open it the waste runs into the sea.

From the other two valves is one for sea water inlet for the toilet and one for grey water from the sink.

Are you shure the the pump is not for fresh water or drainage for the douche?

Hi

On Hanse 371 there is a separate pump to empty the tank.

You open the valve to the left when you empty the tank.

The valve to the right is has two options; 1. send the waste water directly into the sea  2. send the waste water to the waste tank.

Thanks Westcoast, sorry for late reply. I had to re-register as my workmail suddenly did not allow me to join this forum.

You say open the valve to the left when you empty the tank, this should be the valve for the saltwater inlet (?). The valve to the right is as you decribe. This is where I get confused, as I cannot see the tube where the waste will go from the tank via (which valve) to the sea?
Can you please try to describe in more detail, and I will try to post some photos.

Thanks again.

We will be out sailing this weekend. Will take some pictures to illustrate how the valves are used on our 371 from 2005.

The upload window looks different depending on the browser. Which browser do you use?
