Hi all,
This spring our webasto had cures (again). Now the heater starts and after a few minutes your hear less power in the fan and then it stops with error code 10 (10 blinks, overheating). I am thinking that the problem might be related to the sharp bend the tube makes when leaving the heater. How have other 411 owners installed their webasto? Mine is installed in the port back locker. |

Hi Samba,
i experienced the same 2 weeks ago (it turns autumn in Holland) and it turned out that the cover on top was not entirely closed. on top in the middle section (the light grey coloured section) there is a hatch, if this is not entirely well closed You will get the overheating signal.

Its possible that you have a problem with Diesel. Did you check your small filter near the heater pump? If this is blocked it can happen that the heater starts but doesn't get enough Diesel, so after a short time it will stop again.
I had this problem once as my tank was nearly empty. After refilling everything works normal. Just an idea. Good luck |

Hi Samba, I had this problem last
autumn. The heater started slowly and could may be burn for 1 hour or so, but never
gave maximum heating. I demounted the heater unit and delivered it for service.
They changed the burn chamber unit. I asked to get the unit they changed and it
did not look good, completely blocked, filled with coal look alike (don't know
the English word, called "koks" in Norwegian). Their advice was to
let it burn with max heating before turn it off and never only let it burn for
a few minutes only. Anyway, this season it has
worked perfect. The new part was expensive as it is a unit containing the glow
function, the diesel nozzle and the burn chamber. One hour service work and the
part came to approximately 700 EUR. The Webasto design is different
from the Ebersprecher. To my knowledge on Ebersprecher you can clean the burn
camber and replace the other parts as needed. Hope this can help you to
find a solution! |

Hi All,
Our webasto has been repaired. The problem was with the ventilator. It works fine now. We only had 1 overheating error in 5 days. It gave an error of 8 blinks at the end. I will install two more outlets in the rear cabin so more air can escape Cheers, Michiel
