Ordering a gennaker for my 375. What luff length, max hoist, B measurement I should be specifying with the order?

You should measure the exitpoint (guide eye) of the gennakerhalyard (to the bowsprit).
On the 370 some have the guide eye direct above the forestay, others (like me) sail the gennaker from the Masttop. So there will be very diffrent measurements.... I think on the 375 the mast is the same as on the 370 and there may be 2 diffrent versions aswell. Edited by Peter-Blake - 08 September 2017 at 07:40 |

I echo Peter's comment. I almost ordered a gennaker based on the official Hanse sailplan specification sheet before I realised that the 385 was originally delivered with a different mast to the current Selden rig.
I have the spinnaker halyard exit just above the forestay but the documentation suggests it was originally designed to be from the masthead. Edited by S&J - 08 September 2017 at 08:15 |

I have the Selden layout, with the exit block just above the hounds. (not masthead). I was hoping someone knows the measurement, the correct luff length to quote for a gennaker.

My 370 has the original fractional spinnaker configuration. Some have gone to a masthead arrangement. Tell me how you accomplished that.
Thanks. |
