Hi
On my 2015 Hanse 455 I have just finished software update on 14 devices in the network. From the Zeus2 chartplotter (Micro SD card) you can update the following: - Chartplotter: Each of them must be updated - VHF Radio - Radar - GPS antenna - H5000 Sail Pilot - H5000 Pilot controllers Give it a try |

Many thanks Nerthuz
I should do this. Just to be clear - does applying the downloads via one of the Zeus 2 chart plotters (does it matter which one I start with?) update all the linked instruments - ie all those you have listed plus in my case a "Forward Scan" each sounder? I assume I simply download the software updates for all the B&G devices on to one micro SD card. I further assume that a 64GB micro SD card must be more than big enough to do this. Best wishes Richard ps - I'm still delighted with my 2016 455. A great boat..... |

The MFD updates from a year or so ago allow direct update from the internet. No need to use SD card. You just need to use your MFD or GoFree to connect to a WiFi hotspot with internet access.
If you install the updates manually via SD cards you may need to put each separate update file (eg VHF, GPS etc) on the SD card and then select each file one by one for the different devices. Update files are not too large. Latest updates for Zeus2 are great. I love the new wind history and the new tabs for autopilot and audio control. Edited by S&J - 10 June 2018 at 00:15 |

Again really helpful S&J. There's only weak wifi in my marina (Haslar) - but I'll give this a try. I'll probably download everything on to the SD card "just in case". I see there is an H5000 Group Download.
I hope you enjoyed/are enjoying the Baltic. I was there in 2016 for 3 months. It was only the second sail for BrightStar! Had a brilliant time and want to return - perhaps in 2020. I may think about overwintering there to maximise time in the region. Best wishes Richard

Hi
Could you please tell me how you updated the H5000 Pilot controller and H5000 Sail pilot using the Zeus2 chartplotter ? On the B&G website it seems that these updates can only be done using a special cable adapter and software update tool. Thanks for any information which you could give me
