Any issues out there with B&G Zeus2 Nav touch screens on cockpit mounts (yesterday when B&B rep looked at ours, he said our problems were known problems and we are waiting his call to see if covered under warranty/recall as we are over 3 year age). Problems are our touch screen jumps around, very temperamental, either wont work/does work - screen can get very hot - it can on occasions (like its possessed) enters into screens itself, when that happens we turn it off then on and that can calm it down. Currently in Turkey about to head into Greece for next month. Would appreciated any experiences with B&B or similar issues - I did read it was a known issue as incorrect glue had been used in manufacture of the screen, not sure how correct that is. - Thanks any advice appreciated.

I had issues with very hot screen (in the Baltic rather than the Med) and random reboots and freezes that were resolved by deleting the 2+ seasons of tracks that I had stored. Memory was showing less than 50% full but clearly slowed things down significantly.
I now clear all tracks once a year at the end of the season.
I had issues with the rotary dial that came loose and when I took it in to the Navico head office in Southampton they noticed the screen was delaminating and replaced the unit. I had reported my issues before my 3 year warranty expired although it was just over 3 years before I was able to find a window to actually get the unit off the boat.

Thank you for your reply, it is appreciated - I think I may have read another reply from you on the same topic on the platform elsewhere but I am going to give your suggestion a go today, I had deleted some info in there after reading your post, but going to give it another try. We have had the B&G rep from Marmaris out last week to the yacht, but he is being elusive in getting back to us re the warranty (I am chasing him), however in warranty or not you would expect more that 3 years of use out of Nav equipment worth thousands of euros. When the B&G rep visited the boat last week he just said if not in warranty we were up for a whole new system 2500 euro per stand. Confused

Yes, be careful with those units. Shade them. Our experience is very similar, having spent 2 seasons in the med. Our autohelm monitor was replaced last month after failing (its two years old and apparently out of warranty). The B&G rep replaced it (€500 later) and found the unit full of water. We’re on track to do the ARC this year and didn’t have the time to argue the toss, but were disappointed. We’re now going to remove all units and seal them properly. We’re also experiencing problems with the main touch screen, so will take your advice of removing past tracks - thanks.

Thank you for that Alesea, I haven't heard back from the B&G Marmaris dealer re guarantee (which I doubt we have now) and I've sent him 3 follow ups and called twice. Annoying. Sailing today had a closer look at the second screen (not used much) and no problems with that touch control pad - so will see if I can get the units changed around and at least get a few more years out of what we have. We are not attempting ARC or anything near as courageous so might just do for our 'line of sight' sailing! And yes water and electronics a no-no agree. Past tracks will give go removing tomorrow. Confused
