I'm planning on a spinnaker on my 320 for this season to get better downwind performance. Therefore I need an extra halyard. I now have one gib halyard, an extra halyard which I can use for the topping lift of the spinnaker pole. So, I'd need an extra halyard for hoisting the spinnaker. Does someone know if there is an extra block on the top of the mast for this purpose? How did you guys solve this on the 320?

Hi,
in my Sparcraft mast I have 2 blocks on the front mast top and 2 in the aft.
In front, one is used for the gennaker halyard, the other is spare.
If you don't have two I think it will be better to use the top for hoisting and install a new lower one between  the gib block and the ST gib line block.

Thx!. With binoculairs I saw there is indeed a second spare block in the top of the mast. However, it's not in use and before you can use it, you have to make a new hole in the mast on the bottem somewhere, 'cause there is not a free slot anymore.

However, I'm gonna solve it another way. I will get rid off the self tacking jib and use the rails on the sides for a new jib. By that I will free up one line in the mast for hoisting the spinakker pole.

I have some other questions regarding hardware to be able to use a spinnaker, but, will post those in a new topic.
