Hi Rob,
I am looking at used 350's and they all have cracks around the pulpit. Your solution seems the right one as it will transfer a sideways force on the pulpit to an up and down force on the fixations. Did you have the extra tube welded in ? If so how did you remove the pulpit as there seems to be no acces to the underside of the fixations of the pulpit ..
Regards
Geert

Hi Geert, the extra tube was welded (TIG) in place 'in-situ' about 10 years later no cracks ;-)

Best regards, Rob
