Dave - the new boat sounds great. Can't wait for the comparative analysis of performance with the 505! Having crewed a couple of 60-70 footers with 2.3-2.9metre / 7-9ft keels I can say the extra draft did introduce a variety of tough harbour choices to be made. Sometimes with tidal windows as a result. However, the pace of those yachts gave huge passage making advantage, especially to windward when the wind and sea state is getting to 'ungentlemanly' levels. It's such a personal trade-off.
