In my Hase 312 the fresh water inlet for the jabsco toilet is placed
very close to the black water outlet of the toilet . The flexible hose goes from the toilet to a place above the water line and from there to the inlet valve. So, the toilet pump may always suck contaminated water water into the toilet. On the other hand the valve for the washbasin sits underneath the basin and no to far from the toilet. Has a direct connection via a flexible hose. Question: Can I use the outlet valve of the washbasin to suck the fresh toilet water ??? Do I need to lead the hose up to a place above waterline ?? And then connect the wastewater tube from the washbasin to the former toilet fresh water inlet ??? Any advice is appriciated. |

I imagine that you might just suck air
Firstly; Why do you think that you are sucking contaminated water ?It would be very unlikely when the boat was under way Secondly; even if you were sucking a tiny amount would it actually matter as you, presumably, empty the bowl after use? I have a 2003 312 & do not have a problem with contaminated water & if I did I could just shut the sea cock on the outlet & open it every so often to dump the contents of the black water tank |

To add to the above I don't think the sink is below the water line when on a port tack and you will have to have the plug in the sink to stop drawing air in via the sink ?
