Hello,

Has anybody extended their genoa tracks forward from the original location?

If you have I would certainly like to hear your experience? I got from Hanse a drawing of deck reinforcement for 371 but can I really trust that aluminium plates are where the drawing shows. I would need almost two meters additional tracks and I'm also wondering would it work just to continue the tracks from the current ending point and still make adjustable traveller to work throughout the track. Any experience on that, anybody?

I'm considering this upgrade to be able to use 108% jib (actually it will be a hybrid sail which can be rolled in from 108% jib to be self tacker) instead of a standard self tacker. The problem I have is that in 2005 model Hanse Yard has shorten the track so much that it's way too short for any jib or even for the reefed genoa. The sheet angle can't get adjusted right.

Hi Markku,

I was thinking the same with my 312.

It proved to be too difficult and costly so solution has been using st-jib on high winds and most of the time 140% genoa which can be rolled in significantly.
