Hi 

The jib sheet for self tacking sail in my 470 as 35m and 14mm diam.
Pay attention to the clutche look if is damage.

Hi Mike,
Length is ok, but diameter is too big. Normaly Hanse installed a 12mm sheet. I am using a 10mm Dyneema Sheet since three Years. The Friction is much lower 👍😉

Hi 

I agree with you, 14 is to big but is what comes in my boat, if you reduces now first see if the clutches are ok to work with smaller size.

I do that in main halyard and the interior of Spinlock is to damage.

Attention if the rope cover is tecknora you may need change the spinlock interior for a ceramic one to grip well.

Hi Antonio,
I am using different kind of Sheets and Halyards in other diameters than original since 2011. Never had an Issue on that side. In 2012 I change the Standard self tacking Genua into a EPEX Version. Here you get more load on the Halyard and I am using since 2015 a 2:1 Halyard in 8mm Dyneema. Protected in the Clutch area with a Cover. So no Problem since than...:-)
