I have a 2017 Hanse 455 fitted with a Volvo 55hp - it has a fixed blade prop with rope cutter (replaced under warranty April 2018 due to excessive corrosion ) - when under power there is a noticible wheel wobble @ 4.5 knots which gets progressively worse at speed (this is only under power and not sail)

I have had the boat lifted and the rudder and prop have been checked as well as the steering linkage - the boat yard have said that they think it may need the rudder reinforcing due to its length but I cannot imagine that this is needed to solve the problem

Any thoughts or previous experiences would be greatly appreciated

KLD,

Remove the rope cutter and check to see if the vibration is still there. If the vibration is still there remove the prop and have it checked for balance and correct shape. A business which specializes in props should be able to balance and scan the blades to make sure they are within tolerance.
