My upers are set at 35... much different from Mike's.  In the last two times out it seemed to me that I'm pointing higher.  I'll know for sure Thurs night when I race.

Yesterday the team from North Sails had another look at my rig. They supplied a full report stating the condition of all the different parts.  The tension is now set according to the North tunig guide, with 20% of breaking load on the upper shrouds.  In fact, the previous rigger had done most of the setup by the book, only the lower needed another round of tension.

They gave me a thorrow explanation on the pros an cons of diffesrent setup (in norwegian - I can try to translate it later!), and I feel confident that I now have the correct setup for my use (a mix of cruising and racing)

I measured my 400 again on the weekend to remind myself where things were set. Upper and lower are 10mm diameter, mid is 8mm...

                      Upper    Mid       Lower
PT-3m:            53        24        49
% breaking:     21        10        15

Hi Stein-Erik,

I have plans to check the rig of my H370 as you. Did you use North Oslo office?

Yes I did. Good service and competent people. They have lots of experience on the Hanse 370 rig.

It's been a couple of years since we had the above discussion so I thought it would be interesting to see what we have learned, what tuning we are using and what kind of results we are getting.  I've been using MP's tuning guide but still are not able to tack within 90 degrees. I planned on lengthening the forestay about 0.25" but haven't done so yet.  Your thoughts? Look forward to all thoughts. Thanks.
