Hi
My 370 fitted with a Lewmar 1000 Pro Series Windlass. After 10 seasons the gypsy is worn and the control lever is out of alignment so this also needs replacing. The motor itself operates ok although I thought it would be a good opportunity to have an engineer strip  the unit down and make sure all is well internally whilst replacing the gypsy &lever.
Has anyone experience of having one of these units serviced / overhauled ?
A new Pro series 1000 with 8mm kit is circa £730 here in the uk hence I'm thinking it might be as wise just to replace the item completely for peace of mind. We are out in Greece so the unit is used daily throughout the summer.
Look forward to hearing from others. Thanks in advance.
Mike
