My cockpit table is in need of refinishing and I can't find a product to duplicate the warm tone of the original. Does anyone know Hanse's original finish specification or a US alternative?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Bill,

I always used Teak Wonder Oil which restores the warm tone, but I keep always a cover over the table, when I am not on board.
Following a suggestion here in the forum I detected Semco. It is a US product and luckily they have a friendly and speedy European distributor in the  UK. They have several teak tones, I used the clear tone for the cockpit.

Here is my cockpit teak ( boat is from 2013 ).

Nice! There are times I do miss my authentic teak from my last boat.

Thank you so much. I'll look for that product and give it a try. Your teak looks beautiful.

I bought a pint (Semco clear tone finish sealant) for 30USD on Amazon. I'm sure there are lower prices, but this was easy.

I use Semco a couple of times a year and the cockpit table keeps like new. Paint it on with foam brush then rub in with soft cloth, very easy. Really worth while and makes such a difference to how any teak looks. Like new again!

What's your recommendation to prep the surface if there are stains to remove?  We got our table cover after the fall rainy season. Thinking of using a very light sand paper. I have a good teak oil. Appreciate any thoughts on the prep. Thanks.

Can try lightly rubbing down but if does not work Semco do a good two part cleaner. Quite a few YouTube videos around that show how to use. Once clean and treated I found just needs a Semco teak treatment a couple of times a year to keep as new.
