Whilst whiling away the time until our new 350 arrives late March, another query is: any suggestions as to how best to use the cockpit locker on the 350?
Our previous boats have all had the locker well-sealed from the cabin and only accessible from the cockpit.
The 350 (with single rear cabin) has an enormous locker, but it is open to the cabin. It is also very deep. I seem to remember that shelves do not have high fiddles also.
Any thoughts as to best way to store ropes, fenders and all the other equipment that end up in the locker?
Boxes seem the obvious answer - should they be clipped together to minimise sliding around?
In practise, have owners found it easy enough to recover items from ther locker?
Thanks

Hi Roy ... We use the small cockpit locker on the StBd side for mooring ropes and winch handles etc - these all fit fine and are easy to access while sailing.

There is also the small locker on the Port Side at the rear of the cockpit.

Everything else is in plastic storage type boxes in the Aft Cabin / Storage Room. Eventually I aim to split this locker into 2 levels for easier access from the cockpit.

Recently we have been putting fenders on the rear guard rails which I hate due to looking like a fishing boat! These will eventually be stored while at sea in a raised bin accessable from the cockpit.
