My Girlfriend & I will be taking delivery of our Hanse 355 (005) the first week of December. Our test sail was fantastic, what a super boat, so easy to sail and great handling.

Good luck and enjoy, you will certainly enjoy it, and welcome to the myHanse forum.  You will I am sure find answers to most things either here or with the staff at Hanse in UK.

Congrets to the boat - I saw her on the Hamburg Fare. She looks very good.

Thanks for all the kind words... Nigel, I'm pretty sure that you'll not be disappointed. We weren't when test sailed ours. Am really looking forward to the crossing. And can't say enough about the way we were handled by Pete and Phil from Hanse UK. They've been great and total professionals. Highly recommended.

Did you go for separate shower & large locker, or two double berths in the stern?

Sue / Peter

We opted for the double berth and garage as Sandra refers to it, (my domain).  We are switching from a Nonsuch 30U which is an awesome cruising boat but not as sleek as the Hanse.  We too took a test run on a 350 this summer.  That of course was a huge mistake.  We were hooked!  I was absolutely amazed at the performance in light wind.  I know from all accounts the boat is quite stiff so all round a good bet.

We bought the boat through Pat Sturgeon Yachts in Port Credit Ontario Canada.  He has been very patient guiding us through the process and answering all our seemingly trivial questions.  It is our second boat with him and we are very pleased.  I can’t stress enough how important it is to get the right broker.

The boat show special was too good to pass up.  It included a cruising package, nav package and comfort package.  All said and done we only added the larger engine, leather seats and genoa tracks.  Everything else can be added later if necessary.  We expect delivery about mid Dec and splash in April.

I have continued to do research and have found nothing to question our decision to purchase the Hanse 355.  As you have suggested, I am sure we won’t be disappointed.

Please keep in touch as you go through your new ownership.  It would be good to share notes.

Sandra / Nigel

PS Still no name yet.  All suggestions welcome from the list.

After all the issues we had... the team have done themselves good, most of our issues were dealt with quickly and efficiently as we pointed them out.. we still had a few niggles.. but hey.. we got the boat across in the end...  we have a few little things to sort out, but thats for a visit in the spring..
Our lovely Hanse handled wonderfully... reminding us of why we bought her.
The crossing was most uneventful... apart from the prop getting fouled up on something in the middle of the shipping lane and in the pitch dark with not much wind. and then the trip St Peter Port to Beaucette was scary to say the least and even our accompanying yachtmaster was having a tough day at the office. Even in this appaling swell and wind, the 355 held her own... what a great little lady she is.
All in.. if we bought again.. I think we'd give Insiration and the Hanse UK guys another go.

Thanks for putting up with us..
