I know that many people have had issues with dodgy fuel guage readings. I have just added 45 litres to my own tank which was reading 47% but now reads 98%! I'm not too bothered as long as I know about the error in the readings and as long as those errors are consistent.

My question is when viewing the tank from under the floor, what should 100% full look like? I have an early 385 with the 3 pipes exiting the forward facing sode of the tank about 2 cms from the outer top. Should the fuel be below these outlets when full or should it be filled right up?

Thanks.
