Thanks very much for documenting this stuff for us. I'm sure it will be a great source of info for those commissioning new boats and a source of frustration for those of us for whom it is too late
![]() I have a few questions:
1. Outboard hoist: how much clearance does this give you from the transom? Does it need to be guided from below to prevent hitting the boat?
2. Is that a heater outlet in the cockpit? Better not let my wife see that. Also what is the port below it that looks like a drain? We have a similar webasto that was installed by the factory and I will compare it to yours and try to solve the problem I have with overheating.
3. The range looks like a Force 10. We put in the Force 10 3-burner subcompact (model 63354) and have the following regrets:
- The oven space is small
- It's hard to balance with 3 burners because none of them are over the axis of the gimbals.
Yours looks like the 2-burner subcompact (63269) which has a bigger oven space and would balance better, but I thought it was too tall to fit in the space and still leave clearance for swinging and for the counter-top cover. Is yours a Force-10? Which model? Does it fit? Anybody want to buy mine from me?
Thanks again.

Good evening landlocked... I'll take the liberty of answering your questions...
The outboard just clears the transom... the nice thing about it though is that we built it using starboard... should I find that I need more clearance in real use, it will be a simple process of building a new one and slipping it into the trunions.
What you see in the cockpit is actually two air intakes for the heater... the larger is the air that gets heated and the "drain" is the intake for combustion... BTW, we installed the 3500.
Yes, it is a 2 burner Force-10 European subcompact... it works great, fits nicely, and is a bit too tall, so I removed the counter top cover... the oven has the necessary 2" clearance on the bottom and sits just below the countertop,
Hope this helps...
Best Regards,
Carlos
