whenever underway with engine running, turn off the water pump and keep the sink faucet open.

Actually I followed the same, one faucet kept open with hot water position, another faucet kept open with cold water position. Seems end of day, pressure still damaged faucet.

Will for sure add expansion tank after faucet is fixed.

Thanks again for everyone's input here.

This is very welcome info! I'd like to order a couple of spare ceramic valves but I am not anywhere near the boat to measure. Can someone post a link to a suitable valve (I'm in Europe).

Thanks!

it is popular ceramic 35 mm cartridge  with fixing/retaining nut.

When I opened mine it looks like that (google "Reich 209 keramik ersatzkartusche"))

You have to unscrew the ring that keeps the cartridge in place. Its a bit tricky, you need a special faucet wrench for this, check amazon for something like that

Doing the same repair now. Don’t know if you’ve had success or not but here’s a tip. That tapered silver outer ring will unscrew to reveal the retaining ring. I used WD-40 to free it. You can’t really get pliers on it and it will scratch easily even if you use a cloth.

This thread is really interesting as i have just brought a 2015 hanse 455 and have the same problem and was suprised no expansion tank and then don't get me started on the madness of the who pumbling system used - i am now thinking of changing everthing to standard Push Fit (JG / Whale) and replacing the system as without very specialist tools you cannot add to the system / repair leaking pipes / change taps. Anyone done that and any advice - i cannot see any connections to the the tanks / pumps that are not non-standard (all look like BSP). I have a 2005 Bavaria before and it was all Whale 15mm and BSP for the taps and had an expansion tank

Just passed expansion tank exercise on my 458 which should be the same as 455. Check my post here:
Can confirm the hot water pressure goes well above 100PSI, which is not good
