Like Arcadia said, only if the source switch is in position generator our wallpower the relay 3K1 wil close and provide power to the hot water boiler and if installed the washer-dryer.
Sorry I am confused about 3K1, I originally thought its job is to let all high loads to operate only when shore power/generator is on, while remain open when inverter is on; Arcadia said it apliles only to boiler, Wild said it also applies to washer dryer, but whats left is only three AC switches on that panel. Do you mean that ACs can run from the inverter and the boiler cannot?

Yes, it is a bit confusing unless you look the wiring diagram which make things clear. For starters, you need to know that the aircon units and the AUX breaker are the ONLY items on the number two buss. This buss is only active when selector is on shore or generator which are needed to run the aircon loads. The boiler and washer are on the number one buss. This is done to balance the loads when all are running. However, because the boiler and washer can draw high amperage from the inverter / batteries, they need to be disconnected from buss one when not on shore / generator. This is the function of the 3K1 relay. The breaker for the boiler is on the right side of the panel along with the aircon circuits, BUT, they are not wired to buss two with the aircon circuits. There may lie the confusion.

Ok, understand, thats what I also thought about 3K1 except that aircons are powered from different shore power socket that I did not have installed at first place. As it looks my problem should be with 3K1 but Mikes problem is somewhere in the second shore power line.

Directly after commission our boat we changed the Victron multiplus inverter-charger 12/1600/70 by a Victron Quattro 12/3000/120 and liquidate the source switch.
The Quattro recongnized which source provides 230V and connect this one automatically to the loads with a delay of 2 min for the heavy loads like boiler, dishwasher and AC. This delay give the generator time to reach correct RPM.
On the Quattro You have the choice which one has priority:generator our wall power.
We choose generator 24Amp ,in the Med (Greece) shore power is mostly max 16Amp.
Btw I agree completely with Arcadia’s last post.
About Mikes problem check the earthleak breaker (ELCB ?) 3F1 this one is only for the AC ,AC pump and AUX 230V line.this one is after the 230 voltmeter

Hi guys,
Thanks for the helpful suggestions. I’ve read them all but still haven’t gotten back to the boat yet to investigate. Just wanted to let you know that I haven’t gone radio silent. As soon as I can, I will post an update.
Cheers,
Mike
