Accessing deck top blocks

   Hi all, 
I'd appreciate advice on the necessity of lifting deck panels to access the halyard blocks. We lost the jennaker halyard tail into the covered deck and I am agonising how to retrieve or rerun a line. 
Any simple techniques known to run new lines, or do they have to come up?

	Hello When the halyard is out of the tunnel and the organiser you need to remove the panel. I did this last year. It is not that big job to do. First you have to remove the plastic profile of the dodger, second the screws of the teak deck and the other screws. The best way is also remove the plexi of the small hatch when this is done look there very good there is a screw who is fixing the panel in to the roof remove this one. If you don't you will crack the panel. This screw is just 1cm from the side. When all the screws are out you need 2 a 3 people the pull the panel a little bit up en move it to the outside and a little to the front of the boat. When I did this job before I put it back I also take the organiser out en did a maintenance put in new bolts and sheeves etcetera. Hope this help you a bit Edited by Wild - 22 April 2019 at 11:38

	I have used a fairly stiff wire og some length. I attach a running line in one end of the wire, starting from the mast. Then I push the wire through the separators and all the way back to the cockpit. In the cockpit I detach the wire. The running line can then be attched to whatever line you need to have reinserted. After having done this once, I now always have a not at the end of my halyards. Cheers
