Hi
Good to hear you have finally cleared the problem. A General Reset seems to be the solution to many of these random instrument fault issues.

Hi Mark and Charles
I have a similar problem, not with the wind data but with the dst800 data. Sometime i lost depth and temperature was always wrong. Last week Simrad has changed the DST. Now t° and depth are correct but i lost speed ? Is it possible the send me by PM the reset method (nss8 and is20) Thank you and best regards Jean Marie |

Couldn't you just post the reset method for all to see?
Thanks, Mark |

First thing to try is leaving the chart plotter off and switching everything else on. In my case, the network self discovery process completed without the plotter and the instruments found a new way to configure the sources of data.
Then when the plotter was eventually turned on (30) minutes later, it fitted in without reconfiguring the sources, and the previously large number of RX errors did not reappear. If this doesn't work, the reset process is in the simnet installation manual, I will try and copy the relevant bits when I have access to a PC and some time |

OK. Thanks.
I know the full reset procedure, but the idea of letting the rest of the system reconfigure with the NSS12 turned off, is new to me. I will try it when I am next on the boat. |
