If you mean a isolator that’s separate the starterbatt from the service batteries
There’s none in our 545/2010 If you study the electric wiring diagram page 7 (you can find this in the forum search function:topic”470-545 electric wiring “ )you can see the starter battery is only connected and charged by the Victron Multi Plus inverter-Charger by a small separated 4 Amps line directly and only to the starterbattery. On the other hand the alternator (page 10 in de wiring diagram))of the engine is only and directly connected to the main positive service buss bar to charge the service batteries and the DC loads and not connected to the starterbattery ( not charging the directly the starterbattery) the 2 systems are complete isolated from each other.👍 and don’t need a isolator. In this system It is impossible to empty the starterbattery by the service and visa-versa (back and forth English?) Contra: you need a jumper cables to start the engine with the service battery bank in case. In this system Hanse take the risk to run the anchor winch without running the engine The anchor winch is running only on the service bank without a change to empty the starterbattery. If you don’t find the electric wiring diagram sent my your e-mail address. I try to update with pictures of the page 7 and 10

I am not quite certain about the term battery isolator. In my 545 I have a galvanic isolator placed in the dingy garage by the two breakers. I have an older regulator placed between the starting battery and the house bank close to the bussbar. All of this is hidden from view cause its underneath the table in the saloon.

The galvanic isolator is only for the shore power to protect the metal parts of the boat for galvanic corrosion while on the shore power.in most Marina’s there are a lot of stray currents.
“Older regulator” what do you mean? Can you post pictures?

I know a 545 owner who have placed a battery combiner between the Start - and service batteries to start the engine with the service battery when necessary.
only in case the starterbattery is complete broken and you don’t need jumper cables anymore.

Clavida,
A very important question I forgot to ask you. Do your 545 have the Philippi DC panel our the Wurth from +2011. The system with the Wurth panel is complete different and with a battery combiner.
