Hi, I’m looking to buy a 312 and one thing I can’t see anywhere I research is if it’s room to fit a bimini in this model. The boom seems to go quite aft not leaving much room for that. Has anyone installed one? Any pictures? I’m planning is sailing in dummy places and that is definitely a good option… and a demand from my other half! Cheers

Hi Alex,  We have a 312 with a Bimini which was fitted from the original purchase.  The Bimini is held in a folding frame which is stored against the backstay with straps.  In the upright position, it sits below the raised boom, held to one side by attaching the mainsheet to the toe rail. Tecsew sell conversion kits, link below:

John

Hi John, thanks for the link, I’ll surely contact them. Do you have any pictures of yours in the open position?

Morning Alex,
Yes, I've attached a picture of the Bimini in the open position (in Falmouth) and also in the stored position.  We don't actually use it a lot as we never seem to have sustained sunny weather for it - but hopefully in 2026!
Regards,
John
