Has anybody experienced black marks on their Flexiteek? Is there a way of cleaning them off? They wouldn't come off with the normal wash of the deck.

Kind Regards,
Irina

You CAN use a power washer on FlexiTeek. A lower power unit, used not aggressively does clean it up nicely. You can contact their customer service for advice. I’ve communicated with them previously.

I’ve had the same issue with mine. Those marks are from the black “caulk” (not really caulk). Foot traffic will smear the black on to the “teak” part. I’ve consulted with Flexiteek many years ago and their advice was the following. Use a 50 or 60 grit high quality sandpaper, and simply sand of the scuff in the direction of the grain. It will initially leave the area slightly lighter but it will return to normal after a day. This works very well and leaves the deck as good as new. Also very easy and fast. They did not recommend power washing or cleaning.

Thank you so much  for your advice, I will try a sandpaper as no matter what I used (hard sponges/old toothbrush/brushes) for cleaning, it didn't work. I was afraid of using strong chemicals, so was using a normal deck shampoo.
Many thanks Leon.
