Dear All,
Further to my earlier post on this subject I would correct my observation that the Selden B200 and Z-Spar booms might be at the top end for a Hanse 370. Rechecking Selden's boom selection criteria I see that with a Y measurement of 2.3m (unsupported boom length for a 370) both booms would be suitable for yachts up to about 9 tonnes.
As the laden displacement of my short keeled 370 is unlikely to be more about 8 tonnes I am happy that the Z-Spar Z480 boom I have ordered will give me a more robust result at the same price as a replacement Sparcraft extrusion.
Regards
Ian

After installing the custom made boom for more than a year now, (touch wood), no issues and all works like a dream. I didn't change the rigging and the middle point is still not used. If anyone is interested, I can post a picture.

I lost my Sparcraft Rig on my 370 4 years ago. I got a Selden Rig with a B200 Boom which looks to me oversized, Since I have an endboom sheeting. A smaller would have done the job as well!
