Hello sailors,
Interesting question. I think to install a " delphinière ". I am bored, because delphinière and beaupré have the same translation : bowsprit.
Delphiniere is a metal piece shaped like a triangle, making each side of the bow. So the bridge and anchor locker stay clear.
Thank you for your opinion.
Regards
Yves

Exact....... beautifull realisation.
Efforts are distributed in best conditions to support a gennaker, and the place is more important for the furling system.
I adopt.

Hello Björn A while ago I haved also the intension to use a furlingsystem(FACNOR Asym FX) for the gennaker but after getting more information from other sailors like Panos, sailmakers and or local Facnor dealer, the system like's not working as it should. It works well with a Code 0 because this sail is cut flatter but with a gennaker there are always airbubbles in the sail and at the end it unfurls from it selfs and in the case you can furl it complet you have to remove it directly because it disturbed the headsail. The al advised me to use a sleeve(snuffer-trump?) it is cheaper and easy to handle with a small crew.

Hello Björn and Wild,
Yes the gennaker's cut is not very compatible with a furling system.
I invite you to discover a new asy. spinaker: CODE D. The cut is completly compatible with a Facnor furling system, with a very insteresting operating range = 60 to 140 ° .....
For cruising with a small crew: a very nice solution.
Yves

Hello,
Thanks a lot for your reply. I saw a lot of people how are interessed in this scenario, but at the biginning nobody reply anything!! Now , I will gave you all an update about my activities. I had decided to install a fixed bowsprit, only with a few stainless stell in 600mm in front of the bow! To furl the gennaker, the only System which will support the excisting I of 20m is a product from Bamar. and indeed, forget the rest! Now I have ordered a gennaker with an sailsarea of 165 squaremeter. I will handle the whole staff together with my wife and the furler is the vest way to handle a sail of this side together with your wife, without creating new challenges!! If I am ready with the installation, I will make some photos for all who are interessed into this kind of easy handling, too!! Hope, everything is runnning well for this season Regards Björn |

Hello Sailkoop
I hope for you the Bamar system works well.IMO there is no difference between this system and the other brands, except the Facnor ASYM FX, and till now I only get bad comments of this systems with a big gennaker(mine is 195 SQM).I say a promotionmovie on youtube from Bamar and it worked well but there is no wind at all.

Good morning everybody,
I look forward to your results Björn. My jib is on the new Solden furling system. Beautifull, but it takes a lot of place.
Thank you for the pictures.

Yves

Hi Sailors,
I just take a study comparative - technical and ergonomic - regarding 7 furling system, Bamar, Selden, Harken, Proful, Facnor, etc...
The results give Proful and Facnoc on the podium top.
Bye Yves
