I had asked to have this done at the factory but they were very reluctant to add a sprit. Their  issues related to the athetics but they also expressed some concern on how the bobstay would be fitted.

In any event, I race my boat on port to ports and there is no question that a sprit would improve the down wind performance. In addition, the size of the A the boat could carry would be significantly larger allowing for much better light air sailing.

Let me know how you proceed I would be very interested.

Joe.

Hi Idelfix,

can you name a supplier of the above solution?  I am looking for something similar for my 345.

I was on METS 2013 and met Franch composite company which is ready to produce bowsprite for Hanse630 about 6-7.000 They have a mould for Baltic70 which can be easly to convert for Hanse 630.
The main problem is for I need exactly bow shape of Hanse630 which is I could not get form Hanse.

If we cooperate owners from Hanse630 to find out (or take it from theyself) bowshape and place prder together we could get attractive price!!!

I am thinkin about 1,5 m long for gennaker on the end and place a furler code 0 on 1m...
