   My chain counter stopped working with remote displaying zero's all the time. Did anyone had similar problems? I went into my chain locker but couldn't figure out where this chain counter is and why it stopped working.A friend of mine warned me that after a year "all these toys will rust in salt air and will stop working and you will revert to normal seamanship like chain markings and hand signals".
