I decided this autumn that it was time for a holding tank enlargement. The standard 40+ liter tank is inadequate for our family's needs. With four growing-up's on board, the capacity of the holding tank is only for 24 hours or less.
I will show you some pictures from the process and then later on add some comments on the experience.

I have created a SketchUp drawing but not sure how to publish a .SKP file.
This is a PNG copy of the sketchUp file

The dark area is the old tank and the white area is the add-on capacity.

That is great work. Have you calculated volume of the new tank? Did you modify the old tank or build a new?

Did you actually have to remove that much furniture? Could it be done via the existing opening?

Very impressive work! Would it be possible to increase the height by another 10cm?

 Thanks
The volume of the new tank is aprox 85 liters. It turned out that the tank was glued to the hull. It was required to cut and saw though the the glue on the backside of the tank. It took a while (a couple of hours) to take it out.

it might be possible to increase the height but there are two things to considder.
If the body gets higher, it gets harder to get it into place and the hose used for emtying the tank will be more difficult to put in place.

Do you have a picture of the final result including the front plate?

That's some great work. The tank on the 400 is way to small if you live in a pump out world. Can you provide the dimensions of the new tank? I see it sits deeper in the opening, I wonder why Hanse did not make it bigger in the first place, especially for the US market.

May I ask what you had to pay to get a tank like that made in DK?
