I have the FCL sails, which are connected to the Rutgerson mast slides. The connection is via a stainless grooved pin inside the aluminium slider, which is secured by a Allen type stud screw ( see Foto ).
One morning I noticed that the batten was no longer connected to the slider, the pin had fallen out. Luckily I found it inside the lazybag, the Allen stud screw was loose! Checking all sliders I found three more which were loose. Advice: Check them once or twice a season and after raising the mast of course! Don't think that these pins can be found at any yacht chandlery. ![]() |

Good advice. I had similar issues with the Ronstan aka Frederriksen cars system too.
