I had to replace my water pump last year and found that I needed to drain it first. On my system the filter is built into the inlet port of the pump and there is no valve or stopcock between it and the tank.
You should be able to get the large cap on the tank off, maybe using a short length of wood and some gentle hammer taps against the lugs. Use vaseline or similar when replacing to avoid this problem in future.

You can close the flow where the tube is entering the tank. The cap shall be turned anti-clockwise. If you shine a sharp light on the plastic cap, you can see if there are debris or algae inside. If not, you can wait a year or two before cleaning.

On our 350, 2009 build, there is a ball valve directly on the outlet from the tank. You can get to it by lifting the cover which gives access to the speed / depth transducer. This will allow you to shut off the water supply.

Ok thank you all
I finally got the filter off. And the water is running again. i couldn't find the shut off valve, so I had to work fast, while the water kept running . I will try to locate the valve again, it must off course be there. Best regards Peter
