I have just brought my Euro voltage Hanse 575 to US and I am trying to adapt it to the US voltage. An electrician in Miami will be  installing a transformer to bring 220V 60 Hz frequency into my boat. Will my AC unit which is 50 Hz still work with the 60 Hz or I am running a risk of damaging it. Has anybody done it before ?
Thank you
Artur

in my 445 one half of the AC panel remains 220V which fed directly from 220V/50Amp shore power so 60hz frequency. That side has the aircon on it so would suggest you are OK but obviously best to check spec of unit on manufacturers website to be certain.

The other side of the panel is stepped down to 110V with a Victron transformer. That side has things like a US spec microwave, the water heater, 110v outlets etc. on it so expect there is a 60hz output user on the transformer feeding that side. Standard built protocol I from the factory so it definitely can be done.

Thank you very much for your reply Matt. Did you have your system custom made like this or it came from Hanse with split panel ? Also would you able to check if your AC unit reads 50hz or 60hz on the compressor’s label ? Or maybe it is dual 50-60 ?
My has only 50hz.
Thank you again

My boat was built to US spec by the factory and came this way. My dealer has to fit the microwave which was sourced locally but the wiring was factory done.
