That is not the problem I had on the 400e. I believe your floor is not structurally attached to the wall at that point - the silicone is only there to make it look nice. Some movement, expansion and contraction is to be expected over the years. For peace of mind, I'd send a copy of the pic to Hanse to comment
Cheers, Steve

I've seen this on boats that over-tension the backstay adjuster or other rigging. Closet/cabinet doors don't close, are misaligned, and joints like these separate. Any chance someone cranked down the rig too tight? |

No I don't think so, I've always been very conservative with rig tension. I'm putting together a complete file with pictures and dates and will send it to Hanse in Greifswald. Perhaps they already had this issue?

They never replied.... and the situation did not become worse. I have had 2 experts on board to try understabding the problem. One of them said it's the rig tension that had once been too important and the other one gave me another explation which make sense... the center counter mold is separated from the front and the rear and in my case, is not linked the front one. the foam and glue they use to fix all this is sometimes badly applied resulting in some occasion in sections with not enough density. After a while when sailing with strong sea, all this goes down and takes his final position. And can also be due some too much rig tension. His advice was "make a mark and check this regularly, if it stays the same, then the mould won't move anymore". And so far, the cracks did not grow bigger. and I never had any problem with doors and closets.... At this point that's all I can say, but i check regularly.
