Was in Greifswald to the acquisition of our Hanse 325 on Friday 8 April. Had agreed takeover at 0800 with Fjord Sailing. We arrived at 0740 and were greeted by two smiling early birds from Fjord Sailing was already in place by boat. We went through the boat after being informed of a couple of things that they had not had time before we came. besides that they were informed, we found no errors or omissions. what they had been informed were mostly arranged during the day. it blew dogs and cats in Greifswald on Friday so it was no walk out on the water that day. But Saturday we awoke to glorious sunshine and that fit with the wind for a trial voyage (12-18 knots) Boat, sails and weather was absolutely perfect. Everything worked as it should and myself were happy enough. After all the negative one has been able to read about delivery and poor quality one was the more naturally a bit skeptical prior to arrival, but this was totally unfounded. So big thanks to Dag and Raymond from Fjord Sailing and their hired German serviceman Tom did more than expected and made the acquisition a very positive experience. After all the negative one has been able to read about delivery and poor quality one was the more naturally a bit skeptical prior to arrival, but this was thoroughly ashamed

Yesterday, we had the handover of our H230, #548, Hull 372
After a drive @ 0 degrees and through dense fog, we arrived half an hour too early at Hansevertrieb in Greifswald. Our boat was already laying at the berth and two guys were cleaining it.
Mr. Wittmann from Nordlicht arrived in time and the handover took place.
indeed it took the whole day, with some interruptions and some phone calls.

Under the bottom line, the boat is really nice.
+ all extras well installed (traveller, lights, radio, vhf, autopilot, windmeter...)
+ LED position lights already installed

We had one very negative point:
The seavalve for the heads was installed under the floorplate (fixed by screws), no hatch access......
Now Hanse / Nordlicht have a week to fix the major (and some smaller) issues until we pick the boat up .

Janni, congratulations to your new boat! I'm sure that you will be very happy with it. The seavalve solution is definetly one stupid solution!! Is it not possible to saw a hole and make a lid to it as it is on the other boats for various things? I assume that the handle for the valve have to be shortened but it would still be easiet to access.

I hope they find out a smart solution for you.

Best wishes,
Marco

Janni - where is this seacock? Is it for the sea water inlet (our one is under the galley sink) or is it for the black water outlet ( our one is in the floor of the sail locker behind the heads).

Hi Charles,
the seacock is the one to supply the heads, flushing water for the toilet.
It is lockated directly in front of the the door to the heads, at the side of the charttable.
My guess is that they took the hull from the actual 325 production with related seacocks and that they have put the 320 floorplan / interiour on top, so that the hatch for the seavalve is missing.

The positioning of the heads water inlet on the 325 now seems to be different to the 320 where it is under the vanity basin in the heads, and is easy to access. There should be an access hatch in the floor above your sea cock. Unless you can cut one neatly yourself, I suggest you insist that your dealer sends you a new floor board (as it is not too large an area) with an access already cut in.

You may also be interested in looking on the 320 forum regarding bilge water, for future information.

We have finally received the boat with a hatch to access the seacock. All claims have been handled before we left Greifswald about a week after the handover.
We have sailed the boat from Greifswald to Eckernförde in fantastic weather, blue sky all over for the whole week.

Up to now, we only found minor issues with the boat.
We had a heavy rainshower last Sunday and found water ingress at the aft of the boat in the aft cabin. We opened the inspection hatch and found that the water comes from the throttle handle.
Today we claimed with our dealer Nordlicht, who has been working ok so far.
Another issue is the heating, where the exhaust pipe is openly mounted in the big locker.
From our point of view, dangerous, as any item moving on the pipe can be put to fire....

We did not find any issue with the windows yet, they seem to be watertight. There is no water visible at the bilge, at none of the inspection hatches.
Also after some heavy rolling and pitching, everything is still dry.
I will let you know any news.

My congratulations Janni!!! I hope everything goes fine about your boat...
As for the leaking throttle - I had exactly the same issue in heavy rain or heavy washdown the water leaks through the shaft inside the aft cab...I worked out the problem by installation of a suitable sealing ring on the shaft under the handle...the handle now is a bit tighter to operate (still fine) but the unit is now waterproof even in heaviest rains...

In general, we are quite satisfied with the boat.
We have a couple of minor issues, which are being sorted out by our Hanse Dealer, Nordlicht. We had a small hole in the Gelcoat, which has been repaired by the Nordlicht technian just last week. He also sealed the motor panel with some Sika.
With which material did you seal the handle?
Do you have some pictures?
