We went the first cruise and off season with no Dodger (spray guard). We looked at many boats in various marinas to compare quality and designs. We selected a reputable local designer - Iverson. They only do sailboats in our area. They are in such high demand, their backlog was 9 months. Posting this so anyone else thinking about basic canvas can see the result. We are very happy so far. The wind protection and shade are perfect. I have decided not to add a bimini as I think it will interfere with my view of the sails.
