    Posted: 24 January 2019 at 08:53
My Port side table has decided to stop working. It was working intermittently for a while. All wiring and the switch was checked.
My electrician now says the fault lies with the control box which is made by a company called "Barka"Looking at their web site they probably supplied the whole table.

I cannot seem to contact them.No replies from their contact page and cannot get through by telephone.

Has anyone else had problems with the operation of these tables and if so what was the action taken

Any help will be appreciated

As always

I've not had trouble with the tables on our boat, but as I was building our 575 I asked the same question.

Several owners told me of problems with the electrical lift failing as a result of the water seal (o-ring) between the deck and the unit not working well.    When they were assembling the boat in the factory,  I asked about this seal and was told they *NOW* also put some caulk in to prevent water damage from such innocent activities as hosing out the cockpit.

Do you suspect water damage?    How do you know its the control box?   Where is that mounted?  I assume you looked at simple things like the fuses?

The table was taken apart to get at the motor and that is all fine which rules out water damage the fuses are all fine.I do not know where the electrician found the control box.I will check on that one and let you know.

The control boxes are on the aft wall of the hull behind paneling in the port and starboard rear cabins respectively.I confirmed the problem was a control box by swapping them over.
I have now been in contact with Barca.it and have purchased a new box.
cheers

I had a problem like this. It was a motor damaged. You should check it first. Start to disassemble the table from the top. The price for a new motor from BARKA (italy) is 110 EUR

Hi there,

I have exactly the same problem with my cockpit table. Could you please be kind enough to send pictures of the defectuous part?
Do you disassemble the table from the top or from the bottom where the round aluminum part is fixed?
Many thanks for your help!

Hi,
unfortunately you should start with the wooden table top. Take it away (you will need a new teak corks). Then you can unscrew everything. You need just a small motor to order. pls see fotos. The motor is quite special in size so hard to find an alternative
