Could be worse, right?

Anyway, I bought a Vizio to go with the factory installed wiring. The first one quit and I returned it under warranty and got another. This one works, but only for a while. Currently, it comes on by itself when I turn on the breaker on the AC panel but only after, it seems, warming up. It takes a few minutes to come on by itself, then blanks out a few times before coming on full. It used to last about an hour but seems like only 30 minutes now. It then starts blanking out until it quits. Turn it off and repeat the next day.

This behavior happens no matter what the power source to the boat is - shore power, generator or battery and inverter. I’m assuming it has something to do with the TV not liking something in the electrical system, but really have no clue. The inverter itself isn’t overheating or cutting out.

Any thoughts, other than “Get a new TV?”

Mike - I suggest violence.  If you hit the damn thing hard enough it may not make it work better - but it sure makes you feel better.  Strangely enough it did actually work on my old laptop, although the threat of a float test may have influenced it.

Hope you get a more helpful reply....
