Hello, I just purchased a 375 (Yamar 30Hp). The boat is equipped with a fixed Propeller. Can anyone suggest me what is the optimum size for a folding propeller? Suppliers come with different suggestions. I'm thinking of a 2-blade Gori/Radice, size 16"x13".

Hi Solo

I have a 2 blade 17x12L Flex-O-Fold for 3ym30 Yanmar/SD20.
It is very good and better than my old 16x13 racing also from Flex-O-Fold.

On my previous boat, a Hanse 371, the Yard fitted a FlexOFold 3 Blade 16x10. That was far to small. I later got replacement blades 17x11, better but still slightly to low pitch. When initially getting a quote from FlexOFold they proposed 3 blade 17x12 or 17x13. Engine was the 3YM30.

Thank for your input, someone just offered me a Gori-racing 425x300 (=16,75" x 11,80") propeller.
Do you think this is worth trying? The prop is offered to me very cheap!

Hi H8jer,

I just got a quote from FlexoFold for the same 2-blade to replace my current propeller.
What makes the 2 blade better than the 3 blade?

Hi
My old 16x13 was also 2 blade.

But 3 blade is known for being faster to stop the boat.
I would go for cheaper 2 blade.
