    Posted: 28 June 2022 at 19:40
Maybe there is a lot a variation, or maybe original owners all have a list from Hanse, or maybe there is the zinc vs. aluminum choice, but I'm trying to compile an anode & consumables list.  A little difficult since I don't live near it, so I appreciate any help.

Referring to boatzincs.com
  • Prop zinc for a 4-blade flex-o-fold: Is it the 112 (2-5/8" at base) or the 116 (3-3/8" at base)?
  • Prop shaft: shaft diameter for the 150hp & 4-blade flex-o-fold?
  • Bow thruster (BTR185): MMANBTQ185, noting that 2 are needed
  • Stern thruster (BTR250): MMANBTQ250, noting that 2 are needed
Others:
1.) Is there a rudder stock anode?  It seems in my forum searches that other Hanse models require one.
2.) Is there a swim platform lift anode?  I have general docs that seem to suggest a 100m diameter, 20mm thick near each of the pivot arms.
3.) Seawater anode for Panada generator?
4.) Seawater anode for Volvo D3-150?
5.) Seawater anode for Airconditioner pump?

To facilitate future users searching the forum: zinc, zincs, anode, anodes, anode list

Hi Jon,

did you ended up with a list of anodes? i am taking my boat out in few weeks time, and i wanted to order the right parts before having access to it...boatoon is surprisingly not giving any interesting hint.

general question for everybody: aluminum or zinc? any direct experience? i end up having zinc fragilized by galvanic erosion, i understand that aluminum is better in this respect...

Jon,
On the Quick bow thruster, there are two sets of anodes - 2 small cones on each side of the prop and two small rectangular pieces that go on the door mechanism.

Don’t know your air conditioner setup but mine has a pencil anode that screws into the distribution manifold after the sea water strainer.

yes and pay attention: they're are two models of btr250, one often referred to as btr250 because it is narrower. we have the btr250, and its anodes are crazy expensive because they are aluminum anodes that have been cnc machined afterwards : the kit costs about 200usd. Suggestion: take standard anodes , and somehow machine them by yourself...if you don't machine them , you won't be able to close the thruster anymore !

I’m not sure if boatzincs.com ship to Europe, but they stock all the zincs on the 575 / 588. You will need to cut the cone zincs for the btr250. Angle grinder works fine.

interesting! they do ship Leon, but the shipping price is prohibitively high...

I will look for something locally, i wonder if there are any specs that allow me to look for them before taking the boat on dry...i can't find the large "disks" that stay below the stern door, for example...M12? diameter?

Updated to include the stern door if you wish..
==========
I sure did!  I'm sure I'm not alone, but I've collected a long list of spares (about 6 pages).  I've been hesitant to publish because I've discovered some small nuance differences between our boats for the "general items".  For example, mine is a 2017 and I have replaced the O-rings on my deck plugs.  I took some extras to visit a friend on his 2021 588 ... he has different deck plugs that take a different O-ring!

From boatzincs.com (you may be able to get the specs)
  • Bow thruster (Quick 250): "FVSGANBTQ250A00".  You will need to order (2) because they are sold individually.  They come with new screws.  It was not necessary to cut this version for my boat.
  • Stern thruster (Quick 185): "FVSGANBTQ18AA00". You will need to order (2) because they are sold individually.  They come with new screws.
  • In case your prior anodes are so degraded you can't tell which is which, the 250 is cone-shaped and the 185 is a half-sphere.
  • Bowthruster/Stern Thruster Frame anodes: "Quick-BTR".  You will need (2) if you just have a bow thruster or (4) if you have both bow & stern.  I do not think screws are included -- not an expensive item, but a pain if you don't have them at the ready.
  • I have the 4-blade, Flexofold prop on a Volvo D3-150.  That is "#116" on their site if you have the same.

  • If you also want to replace the hull anode plate (the one connected to the rudder stock, but attached to a stud on the hull), that is from Boatoon part number TEM0042.
  • If you also want to replace the anode for the seawater strainer/manifold on the aircon, that is from Boatoon TSZ0696.
  • If you want to replace the swim platform zincs, my manual says you need 8 (4 on each ram).  They are 100mm diameter, 20mm thick with an M8 or 5/16 clearance hole for attachment.
While you're hauled out, if you haven't done it in a while, I would consider changing the seals on the bow & stern thruster.  As you & others have been corresponding those shaft seals eventually leak and the consequence of their failure (unless you put an escape groove into the flange as Arcadia suggests) is that it will corrode & ruin the expensive motor.  Seals can only be replaced hauled out.  The 185 stern thruster kit seal kit is from Quick (FVSGGTCC1R18A00) and includes the bearings.  The 250 bow thruster kit isn't very common, but they gave me the breakdown.  In this post, I give you the list of bearings & seals: https://www.myhanse.com/bowthruster-not-thrusting_topic14610_page4.html?KW=thruster+shaft+seal

Good luck!

Jon, I have to say that your list of seal and bearing parts as well as your supplier, 123bearings, was a huge help to me last spring. I needed parts for both stern and bow, and was able to get what I needed quickly, and without having to use Quick. I thank you!

The hull anode plate TEM0042 is made by Vetus, Part No. ZINC15C, ZINK15C. Widely available online.
