I tried to remove the center piece of the cockpit table, but it seems there are screws attached from the inside of the metal box where the plotter is installed. I was unable to remove the plotter to verify this because one of the screws broke in half.

Has anyone managed to remove the center piece? And what would you recommend for removing the plotter in a way that allows it to be mounted back afterward? In addition to the broken screw, with one end still inside the metal frame, it looks like a strong glue or adhesive was used to mount it to the metal frame.

Please clarify what you mean by 'center piece of cockpit table'. The chartplotters are mounted on "steering pedestrals".

I assume you are talking about the standard table? Not the one with the fridge?

In my 418 the screws that hold the Perspex to the stainless steel box come out very easily and the Perspex is not stuck to the stainless steel “box”. It sound like you may have to drill the broken screw out and then re-tap the thread?

In answer to your other question, yes the centre piece of wood is screwed from inside the box

Thanks! Yes I am referring to the standard table.

I also got the other screws easily out from B&G plotter except the one which did broke.
