easier access to the forward storage rooms

   Hi all,
Has anyone tried to make easier access to the 2 storage rooms (1 each side) under the bed in the forward cabin?

My plan is to cut out for 2 pcs. of inspection hatches, each 380 x 280 mm

I am not sure wheather the part I want to cut out is part of the boats structure or not. 

Any thoughts?
