IS20 Wind - Setup for VMG display?

Hi,
After many years of sailing without a VMG display I got interested in it this year. The most suitable instrument to use for the VMG readout turned out to be the analog IS20 wind display.

However, I have found no way to save the "display VMG" setting in the instrument and make it permanent. I.e. each time I turn on the instrument it reverts to showing apparent wind speed, and I need to set it manually to display VMG again.

Have I overlooked something in the manual, or is this just the way it works? I am mystified since on e.g. the IS20 Graphic any display configuration can be saved and is restored at next power up.

You can not do this with the analogue IS20 !
First 4000 miles, no substantial problems

When you say "set it manually" do you mean press the up (or down) arrow button a couple of times, or something more difficult?

On my IS20 Wind (with analogue direction and digital speed read-outs) it takes 2 pushes from the start-up screen to get to VMG (in the digital 'window').
