Does anyone know if the CANBUS connection on the back of the Würth panel can be connected to the NMEA network? If so, what can be monitored or controlled?

So, I told my dealer a while back that I was having some issues with voltage readings from the batteries being frozen and inaccurate. Hanse sent me a whole new panel! Trying to get the courage to attempt the swap so I was poking around behind the panel and saw this CANBUS port and don’t know what it is for.

I tried it and got the fuel and water % on the MFD, but it stopped working a few weeks ago.  That might have been a result of other unrelated changes I was making to my N2K backbones.
Look for new device "Wurth panel".

So, did you just use a CANBUS to a Simrad cable? Does that exist? I saw that the NMEA junction behind the panel above the nav table has some empty ports.

Yes, there is a micro-c to Simnet cable.  I'd be interested to see what you get.  I can't see any reason why the Wurth panel stopped appearing as a device in my N2K network.

I just got a cable from West Marine. I’ll try it tomorrow and let you know.

I connected the cable and it came up on the device list on the MFD with no name. I put the name in myself. I got the same data - fuel and water %’s. I did a little digging into the Würth manual to see if I could input the tank volume #’s but didn’t find a way to do it. I was also hoping that the battery voltages would show up as well but no luck there. Couple pictures below if anyone is interested.

Pretty much what I had until a few weeks ago.  I checked the cable and the socket on the backbone.
Other changes I made was to remove the out of subscription Sentinel.
This morning my water stopped reading - 0% so I guess I need a new sensor at €145 plus postage from boatoon.
Disappointed.
[Edit: Got a new water sensor in Turkiye for about €40]
