Hi,
It is safe to presume that the wiring to the plotter runs up through one of the legs to the cockpit table, but where can I gain access to this from below deck?
I fear that I will need to remove the inward longitudinal wood panel in one of the aft cabins to gain access.
These boats should really come with spare wiring for XY&Z future projects, but I guess you get what you pay for.

This time around I'm just planning to put in some LED strips under the cockpit table, no big deal.

I can't remember what access is like to the void behind the engine and between the two cabins, but I think you might get there from the crawl space behind the cabins.  Therexare already access panels to allow you to get into this area.
However I'm wondering if you actually need to run additional cables?  Why not use the existing cable for the table light and add a switch on the table?

Thanks, will have a climb into the transom and see if I can find some access hatches. Must be somewhere above the Webasto then I reckon.
I don't have any deck/cockpit lighting, but Hanse laid up a wire with minijack connection for an external VHF speaker, which I have not been able to track below deck. I'm familiar with the access to wiring for my sailing instruments port and stbd, so it's just the route up the cockpit table leg I'm looking for.

Hi, thought I'd come with an update.
Chose not to use the existing wires which run to the compass since these are connected to the nav/running lights. Want to use cockpit lights etc while at port or anchor.

The center table insert that came with the boat was not good so made a new one myself in polycarbonate that is not open on the sides so things won't get stuck. Going to place some USB chargers and also the std. lamp that optionally came with the boat.

The other end of optional wires should be somewhere near the DC panel but maybe be hard to locate. I tried the same for the optional cockpit fridge wiring but did not succeed. Many use compass wiring, you can easily disconnect it at the DC panel from nav.instruments and plug into any free slot F1 thru F8

I also tried to trace unused cables in the cockpit table (for fridge) but failed and ended up running new cables.  These had to come all the way through the port berth so quite long.  I used these for a 12V and USB outlet.

On a 341, you can access the common negative, by removing the panel at the top of the inside of the instrumentation/electrics area and the negative common was in the void between the top of the cupboards and the deck.

Yet another area where Hanse installed something and then put the deck on making it almost inaccessible.
