The bathroom accessories installed in the hanse 588 is the KOSMOS product line from the company Haceka...apart from easy replacements on amazon, you can complement it with other accessories from the same product line...

(i know this is not a "real sailor" topic, but i had to replace them because i used some fluoridric acid to remove corrosion stains and they didn't stand the excessively strong acid, FYI!)

Mine developed pitting all over.    If anyone has the AMAZON links for replacements, please post...   I'd like to keep the same holes. :-)

I've gotten nice results replacing mine with very similar ones made by Grohe. They make both cup holders and soap dispensers. Much better quality.

If you are outside the US, the GROHE Essential product line is what I'm using on my boat. Pricey, but I got tired of polishing.

I just thought I might add something that I have found very useful in my 2005 370. I still have all the original fittings in the heads and they still look virtually new. I was told by a very good friend who is into polishing everything, years ago to give them a quick coat of ordinary car polish just before launching and at haul out. I done this for the last 15 odd years and they have remained in excellent shape. It only takes a minute or two when you’re polishing anything else on the boat and has a huge visual impact on anybody else with a boat.
So if your existing fittings are still good or you’ve just replaced them it would be worth doing.

Hope this is useful

While we are on the subject of bathrooms (heads).Does anyone have an idea as to how the large mirror in the en suite (bow) bathroom is attached or un attached. My mirror is very corroded around the edges and I want to replace it.But no clue as to how to remove it from the bulkhead.

Cheers

Duncan,

I think the mirrors are glued onto the bulkhead. To remove you would end up breaking them. Tell us how you get on. We need to replace ours as well.

unfortunately an amazon link would be country dependant....but if you go to their website, they will tell you where you can buy them locally!

Regarding the oxidation around my mirror edges Decided to employ a carpenter to put nice clean frames around my mirrors as it looks like they are firmly glued to the bulkheads. So the problem is solved for the meantime.
