My 455 is built in 2015, now it had leaking faucet problem. Contacted local dealer to replace it but was told this type of Faucet is not available anymore. can anyone share where can I get same unit? I did check Boatnoon, but no stock there as well. ![]() |

You dont need to replace the whole thing, only the cartridge if it leaks. There are plenty of sizes on Amazon, measure yours first before ordering.

One of ours is leaking as well. How do you get the mixer handle apart? Like the one in the above image it does not seem to have an obvious screw like some of the mixers have. I thought the handle unscrewed but haven't tried that yet.

Yes unscrew the handle, then there is a hidden screw inside, unscrew it too, then remove the cover, get access to the cartridge. There is a topic about it covered somewhere on this forum how to take take ot apart, with pics. I will try to find the link...

Marsella,
Thanks for finding the info. I could see the "decorative button" hiding a retaining screw on the other tapes onboard but the one in our cabin is per the Sanya455 image. As you say unscrewing the handle should uncover the retaining screw. Thanks again. I still learn something everyday.

I have exactly the model that Sanya posted, and was able to take it apart easily multiple times. At the end I complained to my dealer that it shouldnt leak because the boat is factory new and they dropped me two brand new faucet assemblies by UPS. Boaton price was around 200 Euros something for the whole thing at the time I looked at this problem but I have seen cartriges only on Amazon for around 10$.

It’s worth mentioning that this leaking has been directly related to over-pressure in the hot water system. This is caused by running the engine for an amount of time which raises the hot water temperature to near 100 C. Eventually the pressure will be relieved by the safety valve but not before the faucets start leaking. Eventually this damages the cartridge and the faucet will leak even under normal pressure. Best solution is an expansion tank which Hanse should have fitted in the first place. There may be other causes but this is the most likely.

I havent fitted the expansion tank yet and Hanse sure knows about this problem. My Hanse rep advised a very simple workaround which I usually follow - whenever underway with engine running, turn off the water pump and keep the sink faucet open.
